At ICare, we are dedicated to delivering outstanding support services within the Mature Independent Living sector. Our site in Lytham St. Annes, is made up of 59-, one-and two-bedroom apartments for older adults, along with several communal on-site facilities such as a restaurant, library, hairdressers, cinema room and sensory room. Our tenants choose to live independently with support from our team and external care services when required. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our Extra Care team in Lytham St Anne's.

Role Overview

As a Duty Manager for Extra Care, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of independent living facility. You will support a team to deliver quality services that meets ICare’s high standards and promotes the well-being and independence of our tenants. This is a rewarding part-time, permanent position ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the team on the day-to-day operations of the Extra Care service, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

· Support colleagues, providing guidance, coaching, and encouragement to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.

· Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all tenants and staff by maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

· Liaise with healthcare professionals, carers, tenants and families to ensure support is given to facilitate internal and external services.

· Refer to staffing rotas for weekend, monitor attendance, and address any performance or conduct issues promptly and fairly, by reporting to the Operations or Deputy Manager.

· Respond to and resolve any incidents or emergencies efficiently and compassionately.

· Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident logs, and the daily paperwork required to complete.

· Promote a positive and inclusive culture that empowers tenants and staff alike.

Qualifications and Experience

· Previous experience in a supervisory role.

· GCSE in English at grade C or higher (or equivalent)

· Good knowledge of health and safety practices

· Knowledge of safeguarding procedures are advantageous, but training will be given.

· Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively across all departments within the building.

· A compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to supporting independent quality of life for tenants.

· Flexibility to work additional part-time hours that may include some daytime and evening shifts during the week.
